Okay, so perhaps that doesn’t quite have the ring to it that Portlandia’s “Dream of the ’90s” did a few years ago, but this thing is quite a find!
Right now, you can have a 1973 Lamborghini Espada, the contemporary junior Lambo to the rare Miura, for just $44,999, found on the Victoria, BC craigslist. This one is a bit ahead of my time, but I’ve developed an appreciation for old Italian wedges. The Espada was a little more “common” than the Miura, (1,217 made versus 764) but in either case, that’s as rare as hen’s teeth these days. The odd thing is that this one is claiming to have 8 cylinders and a little more power, but hopefully that’s just an oversight by the owner making the ad, as it would be a real shame to part with that lovely Bizzarrini V12.
