Here’s something you don’t see every day on Craigslist, a 1989 Ruf CTR Yellowbird. Currently listed in the Los Angeles area, this example is claimed to have traveled only 32,654 miles.
This Craigslist dream car is allegedly one of only 60 produced. I was a little hesitant to post this, because most sites talk about the original hand built 29 or 30 examples, which this isn’t one of, and those were supposedly all narrow-body cars. This being a turbo body made me think twice about posting it, but according to Wikipedia, the examples made after those initial examples were customer cars converted to CTR specifications. Whatever it’s build date might be, it’s bound to turn heads wherever it goes. It can be yours for $180,000.
This provides a great excuse to share the then-Ruf test driver, Stefan Roser’s, legendary “Faszination on the Nürburgring” lap video from 1989.
